We do not store, read, share, sell, or keep your files. We don't require an account and we don't track the contents of your documents.
When you combine PDFs and images in the default Private mode, the work happens entirely inside your own web browser. Your files are never uploaded anywhere — they never leave your device.
If you choose Best compatibility, or include a Word/Excel/PowerPoint file (which a browser cannot convert on its own), those files are sent to our server over an encrypted HTTPS connection so we can convert and combine them. On the server:
Is this zero-knowledge? No — and we won't pretend it is. To turn a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file into a PDF, our server has to read the actual document — a converter can't work on a locked file. So for the few seconds it's being converted, your file exists unencrypted in the server's memory. We never write it to disk, never log it, and wipe it the instant your PDF is ready — but if a document is highly sensitive, use Private mode (which never sends anything to us) or don't convert it online.
The list of combined PDFs under “History” is stored only in your own browser, on your device. We never receive it or see it. Clearing your history (or your browser data) removes it permanently.
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get used — the same simple measurement across all of our sites. It tells us things like "300 people used the tool today," never anything about the contents of your files. You'll see a cookie banner the first time you visit; you can decline and the tool still works fully.
